Desiree is a native of Alabama. She moved to Georgia in 1989 to to art school and is a graduate of of the Atlanta Art Institiute. in 1991 with an Associate Art Degree. Recently she moved back to the States from Northern Ireland where she lived for 5 1/2 years. Through her interests in depicting detail, strong contrasts in light and shadow, and moody, atmospheric conditions, Desiree's photographs in the exhibit document the mystery and beauty of the environment and terrain of Northern Ireland. The photographs in her exhibit at the library document some of her experiences living in another climate and culture. She describes Northern Ireland as beautiful, with lush green forests and country sides and amazing seascapes. Since Desiree moved back to the States and has been living in Atlanta, her desire for a deeper spiritual life drew her to the Orthodox Church. To our great joy, she attends St. John Orthodox Church.
