living the question

During the Orthodox Divine Liturgy we pray, “For all things good and profitable for our souls and peace for the world, let us ask of the Lord.” And I offer up these words with fear and trembling. See, faith requires surrendering your own ideas about what is “Best” for you in exchange for absolute dependence on the mysterious wisdom and mercy of God. There’s no half-way when it comes to Christ-following;  peace comes only to those with open hands and open hearts.
